In chapter eight, session seven warm-up question one, I did not understand how they got the answer. What was the process?


Question:

Of the 2.2×10 to the eighth power people living in the United States, approximately 1.1×10 to the seventh power are left-handed.  

What fraction of people living in the U.S. are left-handed?

Answer:

 0.05.
